A. Ioannidis, K. W. Boyack ve J. Baas, published an article titled \u201cUpdated science-wide author databases of standardized citation indicators\u201d listing the best researchers in world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The database created by the research team led by Dr. John PA Ioannidis created a database that includes the best scientist in the world\u2019s top 2%, using standard citation indicators. the standard citation indicators used, were prepared taking into account citations, h-index, co-authorship adjusted hm-index, citations to papers in different authorship positions and a composite indicator. The database categorized scientists in 22 scientific fields and 176 sub-fields. Within the scope of the database created, two different rankings were created using career-long citation impact and 2019 citation impact.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In this regard, U\u015fak University Department of Mechanical Engineering Faculty member Prof. Dr. Hakan \u00c7ALI\u015eKAN was eligible to enter the  &#8220;Single Year Impact-2020 and &#8220;Career-long impact&#8221;  lists prepared taking into account the scientific publications produced during the careers of scientists and the publications they made in 2020.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As in the list prepared in 2020, Prof. Dr. \u00c7ALI\u015eKAN achieved the success of being included in &#8220;The World\u2019s Top 2% Scientists&#8221; list prepared in 2021.
